I was sorting through some old emails at work when I came across the following one which I’d kept because it makes me laugh.
At the time I was trying to buy tickets for the UEFA cup final in Seville (as previously blogged about here and here).
When I tried to fill in the online booking forms, I put in all my details, clicked submit.. and it changed the country in my address from England to El Savador.
So I emailed the stadium in Seville to ensure the tickets would be sent to England, not El Savador.
This was their reply: (Every time I read it I can picture Manuel from Fawlty Towers sitting at the keyboard)
Dear Mr. mcphee,
First of all let me tell you to don’t worry about this fact.
please, as the delivery of the tickets will be make from here, the Olympic Stadium of Seville, at the begining of May (when all the tickets will be printed) give us the passwork you introduced when you made the acquisition of the tickets and also all your contact details as: name, surname, address to send you the tickets, etc. and we will take note about it to send you the tickets to the correct address, El Salvador.Estadio olímpico de Sevilla
