.. Obviously there wasn’t a genie involved in the true version of the story … but the rest is true… based on a conversation I had with Neil at work.
He’d read that Robbie Fowler (yay Robbie) has become something of a property magnate, with houses all across the country. We decided that’s probably why he doesn’t get many games lately, it must be hard to play football when houses keep sticking to you.
Here’s what some Passing Idiots had to say:

meh, if you’ve had to read this comment to understand the strip then the joke was clearly far worse than it was meant to be.
Boo! Stop it! It was funny, yes, but it’s lost all it’s charm. You could have done that strip with the original monkeys like us!
