I am still in Blackpool, so this review was written last Thursday .. but it’s a review of this last weekend …
Surely I haven’t invented time travel .. well that’s another story, this blog however is written without misusing the space time continuim.. It’s my prediction of how my weekend will go… or by the time you’re reading it, how it will have gone.
I arrived in Blackpool on Thursday night, I was later than I had planned as I have to work late (blog about that coming soon), and then got stuck in horrendous traffic on the motorway.
When I eventually arrived Jona, Shora and Row were already there. Jona and Shora are friends and have flown in from (somewhere foreign). Row is English.
They are all cool, but I don’t really know them that well, I’ve only ever really spoken to them online, and whilst playing Everquest, so there were some awkward silences. I got a bit drunk though and talked a little more.
On Friday everyone else arrived including Pixie (or Talthinar as he’s known at that meet) (I’m known as Skippy).
Everyone got Very drunk during the weekend, lots of Everquest was discussed, as well as the various new MMORPG’s people are thinking of moving to.
MacDonalds was visited quite a lot, and Angie (the hotel landlady) did us some very nice buffets.
On Sunday most people left, but Jona, Shora, Row, Talth and me were still there on Monday.. there was significantly more talking on Monday than there had been with pretty much the same group on Thursday night.
On Monday night me and Talth resumed our usual nicks (mcphee and pixie), and met Claire in Bolton, where we went to see Dave Gorman on stage.
Dave was very funny, and whilst we had front row center seats, he didn’t pick on or make fun of us once. The show was great, and the twist at the end was really cool.
And that was my weekend (I’ll add to comments at some point just how accurate this turns out to be).
