I just found out Angel has been cancelled at the end of it’s current season… by Warner Bros

The same Warner Bros that took legal action to cancel my website… gits

With Buffy finished last season, and now Angel gone, it looks like the end of the Buffyverse … which is just plain sad 🙁

Joss Whedon (Buffy / Angel creator) was told he needed to change the direction of Angel if he wanted a fifth season .. which he did do, taking it away from it’s roots, and as Pixie says, the networks have rewarded him with “… well done, you did that … and we’re cancelling you”.

Also finishing / cancelled this year are Friends, Frazier, Jake 2.0 and it seems likely Enterprise.

At least my new tv love Alias seems to be surviving, and I’ve heard good things about Deep Space Nine, Futurama, Firefly and Father Ted.

On a … brighter?? .. note, Andromeda has been renewed for season 5 and Mutant X for season 4 …!!??

    Family Guy is also coming back. It was cancelled and then they released the DVDs, everyone bought them … so it will get another season … buy those Angel DVDs now!

    Didn’t realise they’re reshooting Father Ted for the US (same episodes but new actors) rather like what happened to Queer As Folk. And if like that was its successful over there, they’ll shoot new episodes of Father Ted as well. Cool.
