About a month ago I bought a straightjacket from eBay.

I thought it’s be great for fancy dress parties, maybe with “PROPERTY OF ARKHAM” scrawled on it in black marker pen.

Then I thought, it’d be a great thing to get signed by the famous people at cons.. usually you’re allowed one personal item signed, and one ‘official’ thing you buy there, a photo or whatever. I have stacks and stacks of signed photos, and nothing to do with them. So thought it’s be cool (where cool = geeky) to take something unusual along to be signed. And I thought a straightjacket would be unusual and cool.

But it turned out the straightjacket was no good for me, the ends of the sleeves were sewn shut, which would have made holding a drink too difficult .. and if I’m in fancy dress, I’m guaranteed to be drinking, So I sent it back to eBay and got a refund.

Which means I’m stuck again for something unusual to get signed. Other people bring along dvd cases, autograph books, posters etc … I want something different … and it has to be big enough that many many celebs can sign it, but small enough it’s not a problem to carry it around with me.

Any ideas? … 🙂
