Last weekend I went to Blackpool, I do that a lot, but this time I was going to an Angel Convention (I warned you in the first post that I was a geek).  Although it may redeem me slightly in your eyes to know that despite going to a convention, I didn’t go dressed as a Klingon.

Have never been to a convention before, except for the StarGate one that we gatecrashed last year, but I only stayed for the Friday night party that time.  I was there for the whole of this one.

I even paid to get in!

There was lots of queueing, lots, I got a few autographs, Lilah and Darla signed photos, and Gunn signed my weekend pass badge (I had been given one with his photo on).

I spent a lot of money, what with photos, signatures, merchandise, and most expensively, alcohol, the weekend cost me around £370!

Would have been more but I was staying at my mate Laras house, was £90 a night to stay at the hotel.

This was my first proper con, and I had such a fantastic weekend.  I will certainly be back for the Buffy one next year, and am considering the Angel one in November (although not actually sure where that is, it’s not in Blackpool, so hotel bills will apply).

Whilst drunk I met some cool people, I’ve even stayed in touch with some of them.  We played hide and seek in the hotel bar at 4.30am (they’d been trying to make us leave since midnight), and at one stage broke into the main hall, and had our photos taken on the Angel set.

I had such a great weekend, and not much of it translates into a blog, so I’ll stop rambling now, here are the photos.
