For various reasons (which I might mention in another blog) we were talking about comics at work today, and I ended up looking up one of my old favourites, Buster comic, on the net .. where I found a scan of the last page of the last ever issue.

This page revealed the fates of all your favourite characters from Buster, Whizzer and Chips etc now that the comics were no more.

Some of them were just *really* harsh, the one printed below for example.

Melvyn’s Mirror was a story about a boy who could step through his mirror, either he’d step into the mirror world, where everything was done backwards, or his reflection would come through into the real world, and try to do things backwards .. to huge comic effect ..

It was (as with most strips in the comics) a few light hearted gags thrown together ..

But look at how they finished it, and just how casually harsh they were with the final line .. I can imagine thousands of kids reading it and crying.
