An accident waiting to happen

I know what you’re thinking.

“There’s a picture of a toilet on his blog, surely an all time low!”
or

“He hasn’t given us a new monkey cartoon for weeks, and he thinks a photo of a toilet will make up for it!”

And you’re probably right to be angry, but there is a reason for the photo.

It is a picture of Claire’s new toilet seat.

And it’s see through..

Quite apart from WHY anyone would want to be able to see inside the toilet even when the seat is closed, the important issues here are that:

  1. Claire lives in a pub
  2. I am therefore often drunk when I stay over.
  3. There are no windows in Claires flat (skylights only)
  4. Switching the bathroom light on requires reaching around behind the door and scrabbling around for what’s left of the snapped light cord.
  5. Claire has a SEE THROUGH toilet seat.

It can’t just be me that sees the combination of alcohol, very little light, and a see through toilet seat as a horrible horrible accident just waiting to happen!

    I guess it depends on whether she (or anyone else) puts the seat down when finished.

    But I must agree that a see-through toilet seat is a bad idea generally if you have guests around who are unfamiliar with it. Especially if they’re rather intoxicated and turning on the light is inconvenient.
