I’ve got a holiday blog planned, but it’ll take a bit of doing, cos it’s gonna involve some kind of script installing, photos, “Claire moments”, monkeys, and .. well I’ve also got to write it I guess.
But until then, one dilemma we had..
When I was in Greece a couple of years ago, you couldn’t flush toilet paper down the toilet.. they had bins next to the toilet to put your used paper in. These were then emptied daily by the cleaners (eww).
This year in Turkey, the toilet in the airport had a sign telling us to do likewise, as did the public toilet in the hotel.
But the en suites in the hotel rooms Didn’t have these warnings.
And neither of us wanted to go and ask at reception.
Which left us with the dilemma, do we:
– Flush the paper, and hope not to cause the inevitable blockage in the hotels sewerage systems. Or more embarrassingly in our own room.
– Put the used paper in the bin … running the risk of a cleaner coming in, seeing what we’d left her in the bin, and having someone come give us a humiliating talk about toilet usage.
– Hold it in.
After much consideration we decided to compromise on flushing the paper, and pooing in the bin.
