When we’re doing weapons training at ninJA we use wooden weapons, I’ve always thought it’d look cool / geeky to use a soldering iron to burn runes into the blade of my swords, or shaft of my bo staff etc.
But I can’t find any I like, Elder Runes are a bit too basic, I can’t find a way to make them look good .. Elvish writing I’m not convinced by …
So .. I know most of you are geeks … can you recommend any sets of runes, magic symbols, or even Japanese or something that you think would look good inscribed down the blade of a sword?

I’m afraid I don’t know of any good sets of runes off hand that you might want to use, but I’m sure a bit googling would help you.
