I got my new car yesterday š
For those that care: Volkswagen Golf 2 litre tdi, leather trim, their top spec diesel
For those thatās donāt: itās blue
But (the point of the blog), I picked it up, and drove it back to work. After a couple of minutes there was a warm spreading feeling around my pants and lower back.
My immediate concern was that maybe Iād had an unfortunate accident without noticing (luckily with leather seats I could wipe them clean..). But after checking, it turned out the car has heated seats!
I donāt remember ordering heated seats, and it seemed kinda a pointless addition.. leather seats can be cold in the winter when you first sit down.. but only for a second or two. So making a seat heated is just a waste. I thought.
But, one thing that annoyed me in my last car was how hard it was to get the temperature right in the car. Set the climate to hot, and it warms the car, but having warm air blown in your face is unpleasant, and it soon gets too warm, so lower the temperature and it gets too cold, and.. I could never find the happy medium.
But with heated seats.. the temperature of the car makes absolutely no difference. itās like sitting on a radiator. It just warms you through, which is great smile
Sidenote: when I say āheated seatsā, I mean āheated drivers seatā .. means I can set the aircon to cold, and be toasty warm whilst my passengers turn blue š yay for technology!
