This week I offered to give someone £90,000..
Which is pretty bloody scary!
Don’t think I’ve mentioned it on here before, but I’ve been house hunting, have found one I like (the house is about 15 seconds closer to the pub than the flat I’m in now, so extra drinking time), and, after a bit of haggling, have put in an offer.
It looks like we’re going to agree on £91,500 with a load of furniture thrown in (which is handy, as the only furniture I own is a tv, a pc, and a directors chair), am going round there tomorrow to catalogue the furniture and stuff, and hopefully agree the deal!
Landlord’s daughter wants to rent a room off me, which would be cool, if it doesn’t get me shot by her dad (see previous mentions of misunderstandings over landlord’s daughter)
And I’ll have a room to… do something cool with. It has a largish dining room which I’m just not gonna use. I can’t see me eating my tea in there, and don’t plan to host any posh dinner parties, so am looking for some ideas for the room.
Current suggestions are: Pool table Bar Pool table and bar Home cinema room Roller disco Just a room with not many breakables in to be used for parties and stuff.
I did initially favour the first 3 options, but.. we would be 20 seconds from the pub, which has both pool table and a bar, so might be a wasted choice.
The home cinema idea is my current favourite, with a couch, surround speakers, and a dvd projector playing movies across the full length of the back wall.
I did some research into home cinema projectors, read up about the three different types: lcd, something, and something else. And the advantages and disadvantages of each.. and.. got lost in the technobabble. Which is why I thought if I blog it here, someone (PG and Bowch) will probably look into it, and come back with opinions on the most cost effective home cinema system for me 😀
Or come up with any other suggestions of frivolous things to do with a spare room.
ps in case you’re wondering about the blog title – it was in reference to a “How well do you know me” quiz that is now long lost.
